Your WA driver's licences will expire after 1 or 5 years, depending on which licence fee you paid.
You will need to update your photograph and signature on your driver’s licence every 10 years.
When your licence is due to expire, we will send you a renewal notice by post or you can choose to receive your notice via email or BPAY view.
The renewal notice will include:
You can renew your licence as early as 6 months before the expiry date by calling us on 13 11 56 or attending your nearest Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS) centre, regional DoT office or agent.
Once processed, it can take 10-15 business days for you to receive your driver’s licence card in the mail. If you haven’t received it after that, please contact us on 13 11 56.

A third party can make driver’s licence renewal payment for someone else in person or over the phone, if they provide:

If you have a medical condition or occupational endorsement on your driver's licence which requires DoT to set a driver's licence renewal period other than the standard 1 to 5 years, then the fees you are required to pay may differ from the ones stated below.
